Want to hear a shaggy dog story, well here goes! I'm Duffy, somehow I found myself on my own and at the pound. I wasn't very friendly and who could blame me, I was covered with fleas and had a terrible ear infection and itchy skin. Foster mom came to get me and took me to a doctor who fixed me up. Very soon after that I was adopted and doing so well in my new home until my new mom had visitors. I do not like strangers and new situations and will bark and snap to make sure you understand so back to foster mom I went. On the plus side, I am reliably house broken and love my crate. I eat my dinner there and can often be found snoozing in it's comfort. I like to ride in the car especially if we are stopping at Dairy Queen for a pup ice cream. I am about 6 years old and weigh around 20#, all caught up on my vaccinations and am heart worm negative. I was just groomed and look very handsome with my new do. I have allergies and foster mom will add her two cents on that subject! Note from foster mom: Duffy has allergic dermatitis and recently received his first Cytopoint injection. It costs about $50 a dose for a dog his size and should last 4-8 weeks. We are testing the waters here since this is his first dose. He is very loving in a quiet home environment and gets along well with my 3 small dogs. Definitely no cats or other small animals for Duffy. A fenced yard would be a plus because he is so reactive to new situations, the dog park is not in his immediate future. He is a sweet dog who needs an understanding and experienced owner who will provide leadership and time to gain trust.
