Cheeko-People Loving Special Needs Senior
When Cheeko was returned after 6 years in his adopted home I thought he is back for good. After all he was approaching his 13th birthday and wears a belly band because his IVDD causes him to dribble. July turned to August and September and October with no applications and then an application! A good one, but would he like a larger albeit a beautiful canine companion? He loves her and his pictures and videos show him to have turned back the clock and acting like he did when he was 6. I am so happy for him, a canine companion and 4 humans to spoil him. He deserves itð
Cody - Oh Those Eyes
I just wanted to let you know that he's fitting in super - he does like to bark but is very much attached to Joan and me as well as our daughter, granddaughter and, yes, finally our son-in-law (important because he's an important back up caregiver and walker).
So here's a picture of Cody yesterday - you can see he's had no problem "blending in" (no pun intended) with the family or the color of the furniture and blankets.
KeepÃÂ up theÃÂ good work and have a Wonderful Christmas and NewÃÂ Year.
And Thank You again.
Carmen
It is hard to believe we've had Carmen a month. She loves her walks . We try to go twice a day. She goes at full force when we walk and never slows down which makes a good workout for me. When she comes home she's ready for a lap nap. She's the hit of the neighborhood with the kids. She never barks at the kids but is so excited for them to pet her. She's been really good about meeting people who come to our house. When we walk she's always rolling in the grass. Just wanted you to know she's adjusted beautifully to our home. You probably already know she loves car rides when she can go with us.
Fosters love hearing from the new families, and some even keep in contact for years. Keep running, Carmen!
Cinnamon*
e have gone through basic training classes with her, and we all did well. Â
Housebreaking is still a work in progress . She and Bailey, our Chiweenie, get along well almost all the time. Cinnamon gets into everything so we have learned to keep nothing, like a snack, unattended. She freaked out at the Vet when they tried to cut her nails, so we were given a medication to calm her and we will try again next week. The hoarder who had her had probably never had her nails cut and they were EXTREMELY long when we first met her. They were cut, I believe, when she was spayed, which was a few days before we got her. Of course, they were still too long and we are slowly trying to get them to a normal length. Cinnamon loves to snuggle with both my husband and me. She is a welcome addition to our home. I think a nickname for her would be âMischief.â Â
