Samantha
We had to put Samantha down yesterday. She had been diagnosed as having Cushings disease a few months back. Due to her age we opted not to do anything because they assured me she would not be in any pain. 3 days ago she got really sick with tarry stools and having mini strokes a lot of them. Took her to the vet and by that time she was really having mini strokes and blood coming out of her mouth indicating blood in the lungs. The vet said she was a very sick puppy and did not disagree when I said to put her down. I did not want to leave her in a strange place without us being able to reassure her and them poking and prodding and stuffing meds down her just to find out what I already knew. She was in fact dying. She had lost a horrible amount of weight and I knew it was time. She was 12 last November. I was not putting her through all of that and then have to go ahead and put her down anyway. I am heartbroken to say the least. I wanted you to know what happened to her. She was a beautiful dog and bossed us around for 3 years. We are devastated. We don't know what to do with ourselves now. You have a great day now and know she is at peace and doesn't hurt anymore. It was definitely our pleasure. She brought us many hours of joy. We are at a loss with nothing to take care of now.

Loki
Sweet Loki crossed the Rainbow Bridge last Wednesday. I am heartbroken.  He was such a good boy. Thank you Rose’s Rescue for bringing him into our lives.

Jackson
Jackson became part of our family after going through your cell dog program in 2008. He was the smartest, sweetest, happiest boy and we were so lucky to have him as part of our family fit the past 13 years. He crossed the rainbow bridge on March 2nd and we’re still heartbroken. Thank you to Rose’s Rescue and all it’s volunteers for helping people like us find their new family members.

Tasha
It is with a sad heart that I must let you know that we have lost our beloved pet Tasha.  She has been dealing with a lot of issues the last few months, and sadly we could not get her over this last event. The Vet tried everything, but x-rays showed a mass in her abdomen that was impacting her liver and spleen. she was in a great deal of pain this past week. We were with her yesterday as we allowed her to go into a peaceful sleep. We want to thank you again for all you do, and for allowing us to adopt her. We loved her so much, and she repaid us in kind every day. She gave us 9 beautiful years! We will miss her!!

Bryce
On behalf of Jerry, Molly, and myself we would like to thank everyone for their kinds words and prayers on the crossing of the Rainbow Bridge of our boy Bryce. Volunteers who have been with the rescue awhile may remember Bryce. He was a character and somewhat of a wild child. He was one that didn't show well at events due to an intimidating face but I always felt he had a sweet face. He was with the rescue a long time until we saw his video and that wiggle butt locked him in as ours. With some work on our part he calmed down and became the best dog. He had been fighting health issues for several years and finally decided it was time to go home. We had a chance to lay on the floor and say goodbye before he crossed. The house is very quiet now without him talking and barking. He was a special one and he will never by replaced. We love and miss you so much but we will meet again someday. He is no longer in pain...run free sweet boy!
