Ben
“ My sweet boy, Ben, went to rainbow bridge Thursday. The day I adopted Ben from Rose’s Rescue will forever go down as one of the best days of my life. He was 5 years old, about to turn 6. A 90lb, rott/lab mix who was intimidating in looks and sound, but the most gentle giant in spirit.   I adopted him on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016. It was tough sometimes because he had advanced hip dysplasia so I had to stay on top of his medications; he started out with 8.5 pills a day. Financially, there were some tough months. I often didn’t have much money to spare, but his well-being, comfort, and happiness always, ALWAYS came first. He became by protector, my best bud, the source of so many laughs, and provided me with countless precious memories.   He loved his toys. Specifically his blanket, nyla-bones, and rope (in that order). He loved to play tug of war with his rope, chew on/lay with his blanket, ...and straight up GNAW on the nyla bone for what seemed like hours.   When he decided it was his bedtime, he would get off the couch, take his blanket into the room, jump on the bed and fall asleep waiting for me. Of course he slept diagonally, so I always contorted my body to fit around his which resulted in many semi uncomfortable nights, but I always gave him a kiss and said goodnight before bed.   When he wasn’t chasing squirrels, he was laying alert in the yard looking for squirrels. I never needed a fly swatter because he would chase them around the house and eat them. He always howled at sirens. He loved dog burgers from Swensons. He loved going to my mom and dad’s multiple times a week for “daycare”...when we pulled into their driveway his tail would immediately start wagging. He got sooo excited when I said “wanna go?!” which meant we were either going on a ride or on a walk at Lion’s Park or Goodyear. He also didn’t realize how big he was....if you sat on the floor, Ben sat on you; blanket in mouth.   Along with the obvious things, I will miss all the small things like the sound of pouring his food in his bowl in the morning and the sound of him drinking water (which could be heard from any room in the house). I’ll miss his brown markings and the black spots on his tounge. I’ll miss calling him alllll the crazy nicknames I came up with throughout the years. I’ll miss the way he was in tune with my emotions and would stay extra close to me any time I cried. And I’ll most definitely miss the way his sweet soft ears would perk up everytime I said “good boy” and the way his tail started wagging the second he woke up in the morning. He was my sweet happy boy. Out of his 10.5 years, I was blessed to be his mom for 4.5 of them. I’m so thankful to Rose’s Rescue. This sweet boy changed my life and will live in my heart forever.  ?￰゚ヨᄂ? 11/18/10 - 4/22/21”

Tucker
Our loving journey with Tucker ended yesterday. We rescued Tuck two and a half years ago from Roses Rescue. He came to us from horrible living conditions and abuse. For these past years, we loved him and spoiled him. He knew he was loved and I truly believe showed us gratitude every day with his adorable personality. I held him close yesterday evening in my arms knowing he felt love as he left our family. Gosh how I will miss him but will treasure the memory of this little dog who brought more sunshine to our family than I can put into words. Chase that rainbow Tucker!

Eric
I  adopted Eric the black flat-coat retriever from RR in 2008. He had been through the prison program. Eric had a stroke last Monday night and I had to have him euthanized at Metro in Copley. He was hands down the best dog / companion I have ever had. He was so well behaved, and gentle. People we amazed by how well trained he was and he was a beautiful boy. I miss him so very much. Can you please thank Rose for me for allowing me to adopt him and have him in my heart forever. I still have the letter from his handlers in the prison that trained him. I wish you still had that program. Thank you!

Farley
I’m heartbroken  We had to say goodbye to Farley (previously Harley) yesterday. The cancer metastasized to his lungs. We bought a year having the tumor removed last January. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to get it all and it started growing back right away. The surgery recovery was miserable and we weren’t going to put him through that again. He was a happy boy with a healthy appetite right until the end and thanks to a mobile vet, I was able to hold him on our sofa with his favorite blankie.

Lottie
I rescued my precious "Lottie, the couch potato", in April of 2017 from Rose's Rescue.  She was a senior dog, so we weren't sure how long we might have her.  She has been such a joy in our lives for almost 4 years, the sweetest, most loving dog in the world. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with Cushings Disease in the past several months.  We had to day goodbye to her yesterday afternoon because her condition had gotten worse and she wasn't eating anymore.  My heart is broken. We are grateful for the years she blessed us with her love. I just wanted to share that with you.  I thank you for all you do.
