This is Tookie and she is in desperate need of a forever home. She is a 2 year old spayed female lab mix. She is extremely loving & affectionate. She adores people and gets along well with dogs & cats. 

Tookie is currently living on a small island in the Caribbean.  The life of an island dog isn't as glamorous as it may sound.  Other than the obvious problems of finding food and water and staying safe from natural threats, unfortunately there are safety concerns from humans too.  One of the local customs involves poisoning dogs (and cats) that may be considered a nuisance or annoying.  In the past 6 months, there has been a rash of these poisonings and many animals, even some with owners have died. 

Tookie is not with Rose's Rescue, but we will use our applications and a RR laison to her caretakers on the island will process it and be able to answer questions about her and about adopting an island dog in general.
