Here is an update from one of our foster mom's who June got to stay with over Thanksgiving break:  She is off leash trained. She is great with all people and thrives on human affection. She is quiet and loving. She’d just as soon be literally on your lap while you’re sitting on the couch. She takes treats ever so gently. This gentle giant is a magnificent girl. She will be a loving & loyal companion to any family lucky enough to adopt her. She is being treated for heartworm and will be spayed before she is adopted out. I’ve had the joy of having her at my home this week and I can tell you she’s stolen all of our hearts. She has been non-reactive to my Mom’s outdoor cat and my sister’s grumpy senior dog.  This one will be hard for Rose to let go. Ms. June will be the jewel of your family. Her coat is shiny black and soft as silk. You won’t want to let go of a hug with her she’s so soft!

June was a stray at the local pound.  Her previous owners did not provide monthly heartworm prevention for her and she was bitten by a heartworm-carrying mosquito and became infected with the parasite.  We are currently treating her and hope to have her healthy again as soon as possible. 

I am so lucky to have been pulled form the pound.I was high in Heartworm and my previous owner didn't care too much about me.She doesn't know what she missed.I am very loyal and loving girl of 65 pounds.I get along with everyone and all I want to do is hang out with you.I am house trained and love to chase my ball.I will be totally healed and vetted as of Dec 1, so I could be ready to go anytime after that.I am livng with 20 others now, so that shows how easy going I am.However, I would love to have my own family.Won't you consider me?
