About Myrna-Island Dog | |
Myrna is another one of our Island Dog listings. She is currently living on a small island in the Caribbean where she has been fortunate enough to be taken in by the Animal Welfare group. Rose's Rescue has been working with that group for about 5 years now and has succeeded in helping them bring over 20 dogs to their new, loving families all over the United States. The life of an Island Dog may sound like playing in the sun fun, but it is actually a very difficult existence. They are always on the lookout for food and fresh water, but also have to be careful of other strays on the island. Unfortunately, many are also hit by cars and either killed or injured so badly they cannot be saved. All these dogs want is a person to love and call their own and their new family will be rewarded with unparalleled loyalty.
Myrna is still just a baby, only around 2 months old and weighing 10#. She is very well socialized, submissive and absolutely loves all people, cats and other dogs. If you want a loyal companion, this is your girl, she loves to follow you around! Please give her a chance and fill out an application or email Rose's Rescue for any additional information! Thank you!
Myrna is not with Rose's Rescue, but we will use our applications and a RR laison to her caretakers on the island will process it and be able to answer questions about her and about adopting an island dog in general.
