Hooray!  And adoption is now pending for Lucy!

This is Lucy.  She looks frightfully thin but that is because she has been on her own trying to survive for quite a while.  She is now in foster care, and is reported to be friendly with everyone - including children, other dogs, and even cats.  Lucy's a small gal, and won't likely get much bigger, though she is still very young - likely under a year old.   After she puts on a few more pounds to bring her back to where she should be, she will probably weigh about 25 lbs.  Lucy sleeps well in her crate, and her house-breaking traiing is coming along very well!

Lucy is currently living on a small island in Caribbean, where life isn't always the laid back, easy breezy life you might imagine.  She is lucky to have been found and taken in by the local Animal Welfare organization that Rose's Rescue helps out from time to time, so now she has access to fresh water and food every day!!  She is also protected now from other dangers, such as getting hit by a car or being poisoned.  Unfortunately, the opportunities for her to get adopted from this little island are few and far between.  The island population is very small and most responsible pet owners already have multiple dogs.  Sometimes the Animal Welfare gets lucky and some very nice tourists will be able to adopt one of their dogs, but it is not a heavily visited island, especially coming up to this time of year.
