UPDATE: Callie has recently joined the cell dog program.  During this program she will be trained by selected inmates who will be overseen by a professional dog trainer. She will attend classes to learn more about house training, basic obedience and some fun tricks too! Callie can be visited and even adopted while she is in the Cell Dog program.

 

Hi, My name is Callie and I was rescued from the pound a few months ago. I am house and crate trained, up to date on my vaccines and spayed. I get along great with other dogs and children. My only problem is I am still a puppy - about 8 - 9 months old and I am a chewer. My adoptive family has had several important things distroyed and feel that I need a home where I can get more exercise to burn off my excess energy. I will out grow this need to chew things when I mature but it will take a while yet. In the mean time I will need to be crated when no one is home to supervise me. I am on the small size for a lab weighing between 35 and 40 pounds. If you have an active family and have the time and patience to work with me I promise I will make you a wonderful loving pet.
