UPDATE: Brutus is a graduate of the cell dog program. During this program he was trained by selected inmates who were overseen by a professional dog trainer. He attended classes to learn more about house training, basic obedience and some fun tricks too! Brutus has finished his cell dog training and is now ready for his forever home.
Hi, My name is Brutus and I got dumped at a local Petsmart. My owner could not be found and no one wanted to take me home with them. So finally this kind couple took me so I would be safe and a new forever home could be found for me. I am about 1 1/2 - 2 years old and good with other dogs, but too hard on cats. I am up to date on my vaccines, neutered, and house trained. I am a happy, drop dead gorgeous guy, who will need plenty of exercise. I weigh in at about 60 pounds. I recently got returned because I could not give up my addiction to eating the children's toys. I had my stomach pumped and was at emergency a few times. My family did not want to give me up, but it was for my own saftey.(I'm so sorry about the Barbie doll!) My former Dad took me jogging and he said I was great at his side. I fit right in with the kids, because I am a big baby myself, but I need older children without toys. I am very loyal and want nothing more than to be at your side. If you are looking for a very handsome, well trained boy to join your family and you understand the lab mind, I may be your guy.
