An adoption is now pending for Zena!

UPDATE: Zena has joined the Cell Dog Program. During this program she will be trained by selected inmates who will be overseen by a professional dog trainer. She will attend classes to learn more about house training, basic obedience and some fun tricks too! Zena can be visited and even adopted while she is in the Cell Dog program.

Hi there! My name is Zena and I came up here from a small island in the Caribbean. I had a pretty tough life there, getting hit by a car and breaking my leg and also having Heartworm. But I am all fixed up now and I am ready to find my forever family!
I am doing really well in my foster home! I get along really well with all the humans here, especially the kids. I really love those little people and get so excited to see them!! They pet me and love me and hold me and cuddle me----it is great!!! But honestly, I get excited to see all people and all things!! I have a real zest for life and I love to see new things and smell new smells! I am medium to high energy, but I still need my naps throughout the day. Some beauty rest you know!
My breed is really anyone's guess, but I have been told that I look just like Bruiser Woods from Legally Blond-----except I weigh 30 pounds!!
I have so much love to give, wouldn't you please give me a chance??
