FRIEDA NOW HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING!  She will be meeting her new family in early December, when we expect she will be officially adopted.

I’m Frieda, and not long ago became the mother of seven puppies.  They’ve all been adopted and my foster mom says now it’s my turn!

I’m only a few years old and a beautiful beagle girl.  However, I must have not been treated right in my early life, because I’m also very afraid of anyone who’s not familiar to me - I won’t want to come near you the first time we meet.  Loud noises also scare me.

I don’t know if it’s not having my pups around anymore, or if I’m just becoming very attached to my foster mom, but I’m starting to develop some separation anxiety.  I have to be crated while she’s gone (ok, I’m a curious beagle and I might get into things or have an occasional accident when she’s gone, so crating me is necessary right now) and I get very stressed in there until she comes home. I wasn’t like that before I had my pups.  I’m hoping someone will adopt me that will help me work through that.

Other than that, I’m doing great!  Overall, I’m more laid back than most beagles, and you won’t find a mean hair on my body.  I love toys and things to chew on.  There is a great toy box here with all kinds of treasures like that where I can to help myself to anytime I want.  I especially love trying to tear up the stuffed toys like some dogs do.

Even though I’m allowed, I don’t get on the furniture, except for the bed, where I like to nap during the day or sleep at night with the other dogs here.

I love being around the other dogs here, and my foster mom has promised me she will only consider a forever home for me that has at least one other dog who is very friendly and outgoing. I will need a happy, gregarious role model to help with my fearfulness.

A fenced yard is also best, as I am a beagle, after all, but I do walk nicely in a leash.

Now that you know all about me, fill out an application so my foster mom can tell me all about you.  Maybe you and your other dog(s) will be a good match and I will finally get my adoption turn!  I am scheduled for my soy surgery on November 22 and will be ready to go shortly after that.
