Beagle (short coat) : : Female : : Senior : : Small
My name is Nessie, but I'm not a watery monster! Actually I am a senior Beagle girl(estimated to be 10-12 years old) who found herself at the dog pound until foster mom came to take me to her house. I paced and howled and really wanted to find my way home but I don't know where that is. I put a selfie on Facebook but even that didn't work so I am ready to move on. The doctor said am in good health except for being a little thin.In a few days I will be getting spayed, have my final vaccination and microchip and some work done on my pearly whites. Ready for the next chapter in my life!
Nessie is a very gentle dog and so easy to handle but she is skittish and acts as if she hasn't had much human interaction. It has taken her almost 3 weeks in her foster home to realize that it is okay to join me and the other dogs and she has recently found a spot in one of the dog beds where she feels comfortable. Her crate remains her safe place if she needs it.She requires a securely fenced yard or someone who is dedicated to walking her and spending time outside with her. If she were to get loose, she will follow her nose and be gone. She can be quite vocal but even that is lessening as she acclimates. Nessie is eligible for the 60/60 program.
