Hi, My name is Boomer and I am a 1 year  old Coonhound boy. Please read up on coonhound traits to understand my personality. Ideally,I need someone to be gone only up to 5 hours,another dog for company,and a fenced yard.I weigh about 80 pounds now, but I may put on a little more weight. I was found running and no one  came forward looking for me.I think they may have forgotten about me and that hurts me.Therefore, I do not like to be alone for more than 5 hours.I was lucky and got to come to the rescue. I am mostly Black & Tan, but do have some blue ticking on my face.I have that kind of face that will  make you smile. They actually should have named me Goofy, like the disney dog.I am a character and may not grow up until I am two.I am a loving,happy friendly boy who gets along with all people, children, and other dogs, but probably not cats. However, I will need a fence, because I will run down the road, given a chance. You know, I am a child myself.I am active, but not off the wall hyper.I don't like to be away from my people, but that is probably because someone dumped me.I am a little emotional and will talk to you.I could use another dog in the home as a playmate.Maybe they can teach me how to get past my insecurities.I do need obedience training, because as coon hounds go, I can be stubborn.I like to sleep and cuddle in bed with you.I am a big baby and I probably always will be.If you are looking for a young good looking guy like me please fill out the application below.
