P recious came to the Roses Rescue foster at 3-1/2 weeks of age. Her mother died shortly after her and her siblings were born, so she was a bottle fed baby. Unfortunately her siblings did not survive. *Her mother was Beagle/Pug/Dachshund, her father was Shar Pei mix. We think she will be around 25 to 35 pounds, but she may be larger since Shar Pei's are 40-60 pounds.

She is a sweet and very intelligent girl that learns quickly. Her Shar Pei background is dominant with her looks and personality, the beagle in her is also prevalent. Precious will need a family who is experienced, consistent and positive with their training of her. Because of the beagle/dachshund she will need a fenced yard, not an invisible fence. If you currently have a dog they must be puppy tolerant, preferably a younger active dog or an easy going tolerant adult. She came back to her foster home due to an unfortunate incident during her trial period at her adoptive home. We would like her to stay within the NE Ohio area.

She loves her playdates with one of our volunteer's older Chihuahua mix puppy. She is also good with her foster mom's cats and likes to play with her 9 week old foster kitten sibling "Vixen", who is black with short hair. . She is doing extremely well in her house training and will go overnight, most nights without needing to go out until morning, around 6 hours. She does sit on command or with the clicker, but is still working on recall, she is learning to ring a bell to go outside. She seems to be male oriented and is fond of her foster Dad and one of our male volunteers, her foster mom is doing most of her training.
