An adoption for Tori is in the works. She will be going to her forever home soon! Thank you for your interest.
Tori came to us recently from a hoarding situation elsewhere in the state. She has not had a lot of training, but is very smart. She was extremely frightened when she first arrived at her foster home, but it didn't take very long to come around - she now follows her foster mom around everywhere and loves bounding around in the yard.
Tori is an absolute darling of a little gal. But she is very young, so she has lots of energy, and has not had much training thus far, if any. She is also rather insecure, probably from her previous environment. We would therefore prefer that she goes to a home with at least one other dog (Tori LOVES other dogs!) - one that is calm when owners are away - someone to play with but also to offer a positive role model for her and help her to feel more at ease when owners are away. She does not tolerate being crated; caging her will exacerbate her anxiety. A fenced in yard is also preferred for Tori, as she has had no leash training yet, and would be a flight risk if she managed to slip out of her collar.
She has come a long way in the weeks that she's been with Rose's Rescue. She is now housebroken and she no longer goes looking for mischief when her people are not at home. Dogs such as Tori often backslide a little bit after adoptions until they feel secure again in a new home, so her adopters MUST be patient with this little gal who has been through so much!
If her potential issues haven't dissuaded you so far, here are the things that will make someone happy to have Tori as their own. Though she is full of spunk and loves to run, as soon as you sit down to relax she will be right there by your side. Curling up next to her person is one of her favorite things to do, and she loves cuddling up at bedtime! She is also extremely CUTE! If others see you with her at the vet or walking down the street, they will certainly remark at how adorable she is!
